Takeover Target was a champion racehorse who rose from humble beginnings to become a global sensation. He was bred and raised at Meringo Stud in New South Wales, Australia,
He was bought by Joe Janiak, a former taxi driver who trained him himself and turned him into a superstar. He won nine Group 1 races in four countries, including the prestigious King’s Stand Stakes at Royal Ascot and the Sprinters Stakes in Japan.
